TOKYO DISNEY SEA
TOKYO DISNEY SEA opened on September 4, 2001. It is the second theme park in the Disneyland Resort. It is the most expensive theme park ever built with an estimated cost of over $4 billion. Wow! I want to go here!!!!
This is the home of Little Mermaid, my favorite! The place looks like the Palace of King Triton and it has shell-like architectures. The Mermaid Lagoon Theater is where the show "Under the Sea" is shown. It is a musical show that recreates the story of Little Mermaid, complete with live actors and puppets. I want to watch this!
ARABIAN COAST
This is themed after the Disney movie, Aladin. I also love this movie and the soundtrack, A Whole New World!
There are 2 main attractions in the Arabian Coast:
- Sinbad's Storybook Voyage - which is an indoor boat ride which is like a version of "It's a Small World" in Disneyland.
- Magic Lamp Theater - it is a combination of a live performance and animated magic show with a 3D movie featuring Genie.
This is the "Tomorrowland" of Tokyo Disney Sea. This features a boat ride that uses a "trackless" technology which is also used in Pooh's Hunny Hunt. It allows you to spin and move through the lagoon along with waterfalls and whirlpools. I'm sure that kids would super enjoy this!
The most popular attraction here is the Japanese version of Tower of Terror. It is a free-fall ride with a unique storyline which sets them apart from other similar rides. I definitely want to try this! I love Japanese horror movies!
