Six Flags Great Adventure opened on July 4, 1974. It is known for roller coasters such as the Nitro, Superman: Ultimatre Flight, The Dark Knight and Bizarro. It is also where we can see the world's tallest and faster roller coaster which is the Kingda Ka roller coaster as of 2009 and one of the tallest, fastest and steepest assembled roller coaster, El Toro.
It is the world's tallest and fastest roller coaster. It has a speed of 206 km/h with a height of 139 meters. This is the only roller coaster in the park that automatically closes when it rains due to its speed.
It opened on June 11, 2006. This roller coaster inspired by the theme of Plaza Del Carnaval in Spain. This roller coaster is different from other wooden roller coasters because it runs on a pre-assembled track. This holds the record for the steepest drop of 76 degrees until it was beaten by T-Express in Everland in 2008.
NITRO
Nitro roller coaster opened on April 7, 2001. It stands 230 feet and runs with a speed of 80mph. This was the tallest and fastest roller coaster in the park until the opening of Kingda Ka in 2005. It is widely-respected as one of the top coasters in the world. This has no loops but it has camelbacks, a double helix and a hammer head turn.

SUPERMAN: ULTIMATE FLIGHT
This was opened on April 17, 2003. The ride consists of several overbanked turns and two loops: a 78 ft pretzel-like loop and a 360 degrees twist at the end of the ride. It is painted red and black, obviously because of Superman's colors.
