MULAN is a movie produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation. It is based on the Chinese Legend of Hua Mulan. The original plan was supposed to be an oppressed Chinese who fell in love with a British Prince. It was entitled "China Doll" but then, Disney suggested to try The Song of Hua Mulan and so they combined both stories. The story of Mulan revolves around her disguising as a man in replacement for his dad. Each family was required to have a male representative to be sent into the army but because she didn't want his dad to go, she decided to cut her hair and represent her family. It is a nice story because it is not the typical fairy tale cartoon that we are used to. This one is a different kind but at the same time, it still has that magical touch by Disney.
When she was reflecting about herself. The song Reflection was originally supposed to be sung by Lea Salonga but then Christina Aguilera took over her place. I love that song. Actually, I love most of the Disney songs! I hope that they make a DVD compilation of all the Disney movies they have produced, I'm sure to buy one!
